He said, I often want to criticize Jane Austen, but her books Madden me so that I can’t conceal my frenzy from the reader and therefore, I have to stop every time I begin.

For example, Mark Twain eviscerated Jane Austen. In a letter dated September the 13th 1898. The harshest critics of writers have often been other writers, some of the world’s most celebrated have been unsparing and unsparing of the poison pen.
